Unfortunately, not at this time. We have a very old Jack Russell, and he would not appreciate the competition!

The Lodge has its own gated entrance and dedicated parking space for one vehicle.

Self-check-in is anytime after 3 pm, and check-out is before 11 am.

This is based on availability and should be requested prior to check-in.
Once we have confirmed, early or late check-in can be purchased via our online shop for a fee of £15. You will receive a password to access the ‘Guest Portal’ once your booking is confirmed.
Should we have an immediate booking and we need extra time in between guests, we won’t be able to accommodate.

If you’re looking for somewhere special, we always recommend The Plough in Scalby (next village along, a 2-minute drive or a 30-minute walk). The Plough is a stylish gastropub with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a fantastic selection of Yorkshire ales and locally sourced dishes.
Book ahead to avoid disappointment!

We are equipped with a French press (cafetière) coffee maker and provide you with locally roasted coffee from Three Ridings in Bridlington.

Yes! We provide all guests with percale cotton sheets, fluffy white towels, and luxury bathrobes.
Please remember to bring your own beach towels.

2. The Cleveland Way - An iconic National Trail from Helmsley to Filey.
3. Hayburn Wyke Waterfall - A woodland path & secret beach. Great spot for a cold water dip under the waterfall.

We’re equipped with high-speed internet. For those looking for some lo-fi entertainment, our game and puzzle collection should keep you entertained inside or out. We also have a small library of fiction and nonfiction books.

Burniston village is nestled between the wild North Sea and the North York Moors, perfectly located for exploring the coast and countryside that make North Yorkshire famous.
Conveniently located 4 miles from Scarborough and 20 minutes from Whitby.

Scarborough has it's own train station and regular buses (£3 all destinations). The Lodge is located on the x94/x93 bus route (Scarborough-Whitby route).

Burniston Bay, or 'The Rocks', is a scenic, rocky bay with a stony beach accessed via the Cleaveland Way (5 min drive with parking).
If you're looking for sandy beaches, Scarborough has two within a short drive. North Bay and South Bay have huge sandy beaches connected via a wide coastal footpath along Marine Drive.
